Guesthouse Holmur

The rustic setting was beautiful, and the views of the surrounding mountains were fine. Breakfast provided a good spread with fresco items like cured meats and fresh bread. The lack of private bathrooms was an inconvenience, and the shared bathroom cleanliness needed improvement. The sounds from the nearby farm animals could be disruptive during early mornings.

i liked spending time here. came in holmur to relax and have fun, this classy hotel was lovely base for doing it. the property had indeed an excellent and lovely location near national park. moreover, it's just next door to the nearby glacier. the rooms were reasonably sized and the beds were really nice.

Unique and absolutely charming accommodation with stunning setting near to a working farm, and mountains. Easy check-in, parking on-site. Really nice experience there.

Expect cramped conditions. My single room was tiny with a single bed and a view obstructed by a barn. The shared bathrooms weren't always the cleanest, and there was some mold in the one I used. The guesthouse layout lacked clear signage, leading to some confusion when arriving.

A super nice area, incredible location just next door to rural Iceland and the mountain and amazing views to the glacial. Decent size room, clean bathroom with walk-in showers. Super and free choices for the breakfast.

This guesthouse is a total disappointment! The walls are paper thin and you can hear every footstep. I was also shocked that there wasn't a single gesture of goodwill for my inconveniences-where's my welcome gift? I almost thought of writing a good review but just couldn't. Absolute lack of attention to detail. Abysmal experience!

Breakfast with homemade jam

Staying here with my big family was good. The views of the mountains and surrounding fields were fine, and the homemade soup at the nearby restaurant was a highlight-definitely the best seafood soup I've had. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

My wife says that the shared bathroom situation made things a bit tricky for our family.

The breakfast was wonderful, with a good array of homemade items, including a variety of jams and fresh bread. I enjoyed the fine mountain view during my morning meal. The hosts were attentive. The dining area had large windows that offered very nice views, contributing to a nice experience.

The single room I stayed in felt quite cramped and the shared bathrooms could use better upkeep.
